Solar Panel Options has over 10 years experience in installing Solar PV systems. In 2009 we became a Solar retailer as well as an installation company. We have since provided our expertise and installed over 5000 Solar systems for Residentail and Commercial buildings in Victoria , New South Wales and Queensland.
What’s the difference between SPO and your average retailer?
Solar Panel Options does not use contractors to install our customers solar systems. We conduct the installations ourselves and we provide a 10 year workmanship warranty on the installation. Solar Panel Options provides after sales maintenance and support and we have a variety of products to be able to tailor make a solar system that is going to suit your needs. We provide you with the expertise, the options and the service to ensure you are getting the best value for your money.
What kind of installers does Solar Panel Options use?
Solar Panel Options only have accredited installers, our installers are all A-Grade electricians and we have an in-house system designer / engineer on hand. Solar Panel Options is very stringent on the quality of installers we hire, we believe in professionalism and quality & we pride ourselves on having excellence in installation.

We will arrange a professional consultant to site inspect your property and provide you with a consultation to determine projected savings and a demonstration of our products.
What is the process of getting a solar system installed on my business?
Step 1 Contact– Contact one of our friendly customer service staff to ensure you can get solar in your area and your roof is suitable for solar.
Step 2 Consultation – You will meet one of professional consultants that will come out to your business and inspect the premisis. They will determine your electricity usage patterns and examine your electricity account.
Step 3 Proposal – We will prepare a detailed proposal for your consideration. This is completed by our in-house analyst and presented to you by our consultant.
Step 4 Approval– After accepting the proposal we will commence the approval process. This included obtaining relevant approvals from the local electricity distributor and obtaining finance approval (if required). You will be informed of the status of your approvals with 3-10 days.
Step 5 Agreement– After finalising paperwork, we will organise the installation of the solar system at a particular date and time.
Step 6 Production – You will be contacted to 3 days prior to the installation to confirm the time the installers will be arriving
Step 7 Installation – You will have the installers arrive at your business and they will conduct the installation of your Solar system.
Step 8 Commissioning – Commissioning We will organise an inspector to attend your business and inspect the completed work. a CEC (Certificate of Electrical Safety) will be issued and we will proceed with submitting all relevant paperwork to your electricity retailer on your behalf.

How long should I expect to wait from ordering a solar system until Installation?
Our installation turn around time is usually between 1 – 4 weeks, depending on your location and current demand times.
How long does it take to have my solar system become fully operational?
The turn around time is usually between 4 – 6 weeks, depending on your retailer and electrical distributor.
What do I do when my Installation is not following the ‘usual timeline’ and I haven’t been contacted?
Our friendly staff will ensure that you are contacted accordingly, if for some reason you haven’t been contacted please contact our office on (03) 9336 0226 and our staff will attend to your enquiries immediately.
Will Solar panel Options help me through the process of going onto a ‘solar plan’ with my retailer?
We will send all the necessary paperwork to your retailer, your retailer will then contact you directly to confirm a solar plan. Our friendly staff can assist you through this process.

What happens when there is a fault in the equipment installed or there is an electrical fault that causes the system to not be able to function properly?
Although a rare occurrence, if for some reason you notice a fault with your system please contact our friendly staff immediately. We will be able to talk you through this over the phone and/or send our accredited installers to the property asap to fix any issues.
What happens if the manufacturer is no longer in business or no longer producing the equipment is covered under warranty?
Solar Panel Options only uses products from trusted suppliers and we endeavor to provide our customers with products that have the industry leading warranties. Our panels and inverter are independently insured to provide our customers with greater peace of mind which means that even if a manufacturer or Solar Panel options was not in business in 10 years time you will still be covered by an insurance company if your product was to fail unexpectedly or have a warranty issue.
